I would like to share something. something which impacts me alot.
A new trainee was asked to give a class some work to do. at the end of the lesson, each of these kids have to hand up a piece of paper, writing down their one of their most memorable teacher and why.
Later in the day, this trainee teacher approached me-
Trainee: Hello! Are you Miss Yip?
Me: Yup.
Trainee: I have something to show you..
Guess what i saw? I was mentioned in one of
that piece of paper. I was really speechless that time because i've never thought that i will leave a deep impression in one of the pupil. This pupil wrote:
“我最难望的老师是
Miss Yip, 因为她教了我对自己要有信心!”
OMG. i was SOOOOOO touched that moment and wanted to cry. Really, i've never thought that my words can actually change this little girl. Im not even a teacher, just a trainer there. Dont remember doing much, just some words of encouragement early this year, when she needs to perform for an event.
aww. i want to be a TEACHER!

I guess people always mistaken me cause I don’t voice up myself.
That’s a
HUGE problem in me.
But why cant people be more understanding. Towards one and other?
i've attended a workshop last week and its about team building. there are 4 models to team building personality: COMMUNICATOR, CONTROLLER, ANALYZER AND SUPPORTER. I fall under the ANALYZER category. so, which means to say that i tend to have DEEP thoughtsss.. =)
HAHA!
and.....PHUKET, IM COMING!

Thursday, April 09, 20097:49 PMP5 CAMP!

Im back from camp!- P5 camp. A very experiencing one as it really brings back all the camping memories i had during my primary and secondary school days.
Hardly (did not) get any sleep because of night duties to check out the kids. Some of them do have sleep-walking problems. Daytime was all the usual team building activities. And i found a new love- KAYAKING! Oh-my-god. Im really addicted to it now. hehe! Campfire was the most memorable one: songs, cheers, performances. =)
I guess sending kids to camp will be the best to make them learn to be independent. They rely no one but only their friends in camp and that's where team building comes in. It's good to see how the kids have changed these 2-3 days. I can see the cohesiveness in them as well as their efforts in the activities.
There was a very exaggerating case whereby this parent actually come all the way to ubin to check out her kid. Joined in halfway through the land expedition, bought drinks for the kid. I mean... HELLO?! What's the purpose of sending this kid to camp then? tsk tsk... parents nowadays are indeed TOO protective of their kids.
Though i had sun-burnt and lotsa mosquito bites (practically my whole legs were filled with mosquito bite spots), but well, i did enjoyed myself these 2 days. Especially when im away from from technologies and stress. haha!
Back to reality now. Back to assignments and exams. =)
